Pokemon Tiers are site-established groups for placing pokemon, based on their popularity, strengths, power and ability. Each metagame has pokemon with equal ability, in aim to make things more fair. Just like the use of Clauses, tiers helps to strategically allow players to diversely experiment with different pokemon, knowing that they aren't at risk from a trashing.
